Dortmund Hbf: The HMKV's exhibition space at the Dortmunder U is only a 10 min. walk away from Dortmund Central Station/Hauptbahnhof. The route via Königswall and Leonie-Reygers-Terrasse is entirely wheelchair accessible. Please mind the limited accessibility at the central station, though.

Accessibility

Dortmunter U's building is entirely wheelchair accessible via lifts and escalators – especially Level 3 where our exhibition space is located. In addition there is a wheelchair accessible WC on Level 3. For more information regarding accessibility and integration please contact us, we're happy to help you. Please mind the information on the website of the Dortmunder U as well.

The HMKV has been certified as "barrier-free" by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Klimaschutz ) and is allowed to use the award "Accessibility Tested" as well as the corresponding pictograms according to the criteria of the nationwide label "Travel for All" ("Reisen für Alle") in the period February 2022 – January 2025.
