On Family Sunday at the Dortmunder U, the HMKV invites you to a special film screening: 19 children and young people will present their own short films in the RWE-Forum I Kino im U, which were created during the Easter holidays as part of the Shockheaded Peter workshop.
The only feature film by John Cage, One11 and 103 is based on the effects of light in an empty room. Directed by Henning Lohner, it was completed shortly before the composer’s death in 1992. Dir. Henning Lohner, Germany 1992, 94 min.
HUMAN BROWSER is a search engine in human form. Via a headset the performer receives search results in real time. S/he shares these results with the bystanding visitors by announcing them loudly. The speech flow is confusing but makes reference to the context time and again. An irritating, surprising and quite amusing encounter!
During a one-day workshop the participants try to evaluate how to deal creatively with the news. Workshop for teachers and educators. The workshop will be held in German only.
Record and modify your own voice in the HMKV Sound Studio! Children can join the event at any time during the opening hours and participate in a paper chase to get to know the exhibition in a playful way. At 2pm we offer a guided children's tour. This event is held in German only!
