Every first Sunday of the month, a varied, free programme for the whole family takes place in the entire Dortmunder U. As part of the Family Sunday in the Dortmunder U, the HMKV offers the following programme:
Amber amulet creation
On 10 March, the new HMKV exhibition "We grow, grow and grow" opens, which deals, among other things, with our wondrous nature. Fossils have been formed in the earth over millions of years. Amber is also a fossil. It is fossilized resin from trees that stood here over 40 million years ago. We create our own sparkling amber amulets from these great, golden-brown "stones".
