Human Rights in the Digital Age
Dortmunder U | Level 3
The German section of Amnesty International has been monitoring and classifying recent developments in digital communication and information technology (CIT) from a human rights perspective since 2014.
The Internet and digital CIT offer many advantages, but they also increasingly threaten human rights.
In the context of the exhibition Whistleblowers & Vigilantes. Figures of Digital Resistance the university group of Amnesty International Bochum would like to give some information about Amnesty Internationals work regarding human rights in the digital age and get into a conversation about the problematic nature of mass surveillance.
The presentation of the university group will be followed by a guided tour through the exhibition.
The event will be held in English.
Admission is included in the entrance fee.
