INDUSTRIAL Matinée – New results from the INDUSTRIAL (Research) Department with Thibaut de Ruyter (Berlin)
Dortmunder U | Level 6
The table accommodating the INDUSTRIAL (Research) collection measures 22 metres in length. Plenty of space to lay out books, records, videos and objects, one would think. However, there are important portions of the researched materials which have not made it on the table – because curating means not only ordering and filing objects, documents and archives, but also operating a choice, making a selection, sorting things out.
In this matinée Thibaut de Ruyter, one of the two curators of INDUSTRIAL (Research), presents films, sounds and books which did not make it into the final selection, but which do add new perspectives to the topic of INDUSTRIAL (Research) nonetheless and deserve to be seen, heard and discussed.
As always, the INDUSTRIAL Matinée is included in the regular entrance fee. The coffee is free!
