Tour through the Rombergpark with Hendrik Denkhaus ***fully booked***
Botanical Garden Rombergpark, Dortmund
As part of the current exhibition Jana Kerima Stolzer & Lex Rütten – We grow, grow and grow, we‘re gonna be alright and this is our show biologist Hendrik Denkhaus offers a guided tour together with artists Jana Kerima Stolzer and Lex Rütten through the Botanical Garden Rombergpark in Dortmund.
Growth and decay, nutrition and pollination – all of it only works in tandem. In this guided tour, the participants will get an insight into different examples of symbioses between plants, animals, fungi and humans. Our path will lead us from the smallest cell in the highest tree, from the past to the future, and from Dortmund into the whole wide world. Cooperation takes place anytime and anywhere – also in our tour. Jana Kerima Stolzer and Lex Rütten accompany the walk and talk about their research and topics that influence their work. In their video installations, non-human beings play a role, who talk about coal mining, pioneer plants, invasive species and neophytes, sedimentation or corals.
Meeting point at 15:00 Uhr at Altes Torhaus in the North of the park (Am Rombergpark 50, 44225 Dortmund).
In cooperation with the Botanical Garden Rombergpark
