Short film by Zauri Matikashvili
The Georgian artist Zauri Matikashvili, who lives in Münster, is filming in Dortmund's Nordstadt district on behalf of the HMKV: the result will be a short film in which he explores questions of housing and neighborhood development and sheds light on the strategies of the Roma self-organization Romano Than, Dortmund.
In his films and performances, Matikashvili asks what identity and migration mean and how societies function in detail – or not. The short film will be presented online via the HMKV website at the beginning of April 2021.
Born and raised in Kvareli, Georgia, Zauri Matikashvili has lived in Germany since September 12, 2003, 9:53 am. He studied fine arts in Münster and Düsseldorf.
