We often unknowingly leave a trail on the Internet as a result of face recognition, Google searches, and the GPS data that cameras and mobile phones embed in our photographs.
We will begin this workshop on digital self-defense with a tour of the exhibition. What consequences should we draw from Edward Snowden’s revelation about the extensive surveillance and data storage by secrete services and how should we react to increasing surveillance of public and digital space? How can we browse anonymously and encode our e-mails and mobile phones?
Together with you, we will test various gadgets for digital self-defense. Computers will be provided but you are also welcome to bring your own mobile devices.
Admission to the workshop is free.
