Nadja Buttendorf: make art with me - 1 hr real time work

HMKV Video of the Month

01–30 April 2021

„EVERY MONDAY 10 AM - As long as most of the museums in Germany stay closed, i offer the live stream "make art with me". If you are bored of working on your own, join me for one hour in real time.“ (Nadja Buttendorf)

It really works, I tried it out. The artist Nadja Buttendorf works LIVE on her computer every Monday morning – and we can watch her. Of course, it's completely unspectacular – little movement, you can hear the clacking of fingers on the keyboard and not much else happens – but it's comforting to know that at this very moment someone else is doing just as unspectacular work as you are, occasionally making faces, being annoyed and sometimes procrastinating. I feel you!

Nadja Buttendorf works LIVE every Monday from 10:00–11:00 – in April these are the following dates: 12 April, 19 April and 26 April 2021. Beyond that, the recording is available online. But because real time is better: Don't miss the three LIVE streams! (Inke Arns)

Nadja Buttendorf, *1984 in Dresden (GDR), studied art at Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle (Diploma 2012) and has lived and worked in Berlin since 2011. Her videos, performances, installations and objects deal with social questions revolving around body images and stereotypes in gender roles (incl. in the history of the development of the computer in the GDR).
