Exclusive video presentation as part of the Dortmund Museum Night

 

The documentary by Silke Schönfeld and Aleyna Asya Akgün: Die sehen ja nur, die wissen ja nichts is about 16-year-old Thai boxer Aleyna Asya Akgün from Dortmund’s Nordstadt district. It shows how she prepares physically and mentally for a fight in this sport still dominated by men.

The video presentation is a warm up of the solo exhibition Silke Schönfeld: You can't make this up by Silke Schönfeld, which the HMKV Hartware MedienKunstVerein will be showing from October 12, 2024 – February 2, 2025.

Silke Schönfeld (*1988) lives and works in Dortmund.
