HMKV's new magazine "Technoshamanism" is now available

The new magazine for the exhibition Technoshamanism can now be ordered through the publishing house Kettler and is available as a free download (PDF). In addition, the magazine is also available as usual on site at the HMKV Bookshop in the HMKV at the Dortmunder U, level 3.

Based on the figure of the shaman, which Joseph Beuys cultivated throughout his life, the exhibition is dedicated to current 'techno-shamanistic' artistic positions. These not only understand shamanism itself as technology, but seek shamanic powers through the use of (speculative) technology. The exhibition brings together works by 12 international artists who update Beuys' strategies and questions for the digital age.

The magazine contains texts by Inke Arns, Erik Davis and Verena Kuni, among others, as well as a documentation of all works in the HMKV Hartware MedienKunstVerein.

More information about the publication can be found here and about the exhibition here.
