„Holding Pattern" Exhibition Now Open

After six weeks of renovations, the wait is finally over: On 14 March 2025, the HMKV Hartware MedienKunstVerein celebrated the grand opening of the international group exhibition Holding Pattern (15 March – 27 July 2025). The exhibition is now open to the public and can be visited free of charge.

Curated by acclaimed writer Tom McCarthy and author and curator Anne Hilde Neset, the exhibition explores patterns of movement, loops, and repetitions that shape our daily lives. It features six outstanding artistic positions by Åke Hodell, Stan Douglas, Harun Farocki, Stefan Panhans & Andrea Winkler, Susan Philipsz, and Elizabeth Price.

With his literary focus on technological and media phenomena, Tom McCarthy reflects key themes of HMKV, which examines the intersections between art, technology, and society.

The exhibition runs until 27 July 2025 and is accompanied by a diverse programme of public guided tours, artist talks, book presentations, concerts, workshops, and film screenings.
