Harun Farocki‘s extensive oeuvre of over 120 films, videos and installations is a treasure chest that Antje Ehmann is opening to. accompany the HMKV exhibition Holding Pattern - at sweet-Sixteen-Filmclub e.V.. We show a wide range of everything: fiction films, documentaries, agitprop films, anti-Vietnam war films, direct cinema, children‘s films, essay films and found footage films. A festival full of surprises!

Harun Farocki (b. 1944, Nový Jič.n, CS – d. 2014, Berlin, DE) was a filmmaker, artist and theorist. Inspired by Brecht and Godard, he created installations that analyse the construction of images and question their reception, paying particular attention to archives and depictions of industry and warfare. The author of over 120 films, videos and installations, he remains hugely influential for artists working with moving images today.
